A pair of chassis-mounted Ironman 4x4 recovery points: 5 tonnes each and up to 10 tonnes rigged together. Minimum 16 mm steel, powder coated, with radiused edges made for soft shackles. For the Isuzu D-Max 2019-2023 and MU-X 2021-2024.
Ironman 4x4 5-Tonne Rated Recovery Points — Isuzu D-Max and MU-X
The transport loops under the front of a ute look solid enough until a vehicle really has to be pulled out of the mud. They are tie-downs for a transporter, not rated recovery points. These two change that: each one is purpose-built for recovery and rated at 5 tonnes.
They are cut from a minimum of 16 mm steel and powder coated, and they bolt to the chassis. Ironman quotes up to 10 tonnes of rated capacity when the load is shared across both points.
Rating 5 t each, up to 10 t as a pair | Material steel, min. 16 mm | Supplied pair |
Key benefits
- Five tonnes per point — real headroom on a ute that is heavy to begin with and far heavier once it is buried.
- Up to 10 tonnes when rigged from both points, for the recoveries where one pull is not enough.
- Minimum 16 mm steel, with the load going into the chassis rather than thin body panels.
- Radiused edges so soft shackles can be used safely without chafing the rope.
- A powder-coated finish that copes with salt, gravel and pressure washing better than ordinary paint.
- Supplied as a pair, so the front recovery setup is complete from the start.
What is in the box

Fitting notes
The points bolt to the chassis, which means working under the vehicle — a hoist beats a set of ramps here. Remember the rating applies to the point itself: match your rope, strap and shackles to at least the same figure, and use a kinetic strap rather than a steel cable for snatch recoveries.
Why it is worth it
- A stated rating instead of a "heavy duty" hook with no numbers behind it.
- A pair, ready to rig in a bridle.
- Designed around soft shackles, which most crews now carry.
Pair them with a kinetic strap and soft shackles — we will help you match the ratings to your vehicle’s weight.
