EFS Shock Absorber Bush, Lower and Upper — for 36, 37 and 39 Series Shocks

A knock from the shock area after a speed bump is usually not the shock itself but a worn silent block in its eye. Replacing the bush is the cheapest way to get quiet, play-free suspension back.

EFS specifies this bush for particular shock part numbers: as the lower bush for 36-5545, 36-5586, 37-6001, 37-6003, 37-6005, 39-7002, 39-7004 and 39-7008, and as the upper bush in the 39-7002 and 37-6005.

Who it is for

A service part for anyone running EFS shocks from the listed ranges who wants to refresh the mounts without replacing the shocks themselves. Bushes are usually changed several at a time, so check how many eyes in your set need one.

Fitting notes

• Selection is based on the shock part number, not on the vehicle model — check the number stamped on the body or listed in the kit paperwork.
• The bush presses into the shock eye; a press or a vice with spacers does the job.

Why buy it

• One part number covers eight shock numbers in the lower position and two in the upper, so servicing a full set rarely means hunting down several different bushes.
• Replacing the bush restores quiet suspension without paying for new shocks.
