EFS Ya'Mate aluminium roof platform with a 1330 x 1250 mm load area and removable side rails. It mounts with u-bolts to roof bars and the mounting kit is included. The tray ships pre-assembled and works with the dedicated EFS mounts for popular dual cab utes.

EFS Ya'Mate Aluminium Roof Platform — 1330 x 1250 mm

On a longer trip there is always a point where the tub is full and the awning, the traction boards and the tool box are still on the list. The roof is the only free surface left — provided there is something up there to strap the load to.

This EFS Ya'Mate platform is a flat aluminium tray with a 1330 x 1250 mm load area and removable sides. It mounts with u-bolts to roof bars, so if you already run bars or dedicated EFS mounts, fitting it needs no bodywork. It ships pre-assembled, with the side rails not yet fitted.

u-bolts to roof bars

Key benefits

  • Aluminium construction — lower dead weight than a steel equivalent, and every kilo up on the roof raises the vehicle's centre of gravity.
  • Removable side rails: keep them on for tall loads, take them off when you carry something wide or flat such as a sheet of board.
  • A flat 1330 x 1250 mm surface — room for traction boards, boxes, camp gear or an awning.
  • U-bolt mounting to roof bars means the platform can move to another vehicle with bars; it is not tied permanently to one body.
  • The mounting kit is included and the tray arrives pre-assembled — only the side rails are left to fit.

Dedicated EFS mounts

The manufacturer lists these mounting brackets for this platform:

  • EFSPM-FORD-02 — Ford Ranger PY / Next Gen (from 06.2022) and VW Amarok (from 06.2022)
  • EFSPM-MITS-02 — Mitsubishi L200 (from 2024)
  • EFSPM-MITS-01 — Mitsubishi L200 (2015-2024)
  • EFSPM-TOY-01 — Toyota Hilux Revo (2016-2024)
  • EFSPM-ISU-01 — Isuzu D-Max (2020-2024) and Mazda BT-50 (2020-2024)

Who it is for. For utes and SUVs already running roof bars or dedicated EFS mounts. At 1330 x 1250 mm it is a sensible size for a dual cab roof: enough for a full touring kit without pushing further past the vehicle's outline than it needs to.

Fitting / notes

The platform bolts to existing roof bars with u-bolts — a quick job once bars or EFS mounts are on the vehicle. Before you load it for the first time, check the roof load limit your vehicle manufacturer specifies; that figure, not the platform, sets what you can actually carry.

Why it is worth it

  • A stated load area instead of vague talk about a "large platform".
  • Aluminium rather than steel — less weight added up high.
  • A complete EFS system: platform plus model-specific mounts for common dual cab utes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the load area size?

1330 x 1250 mm.

What is the platform made of?

It is a flat aluminium tray with removable sides.

How does it mount?

With u-bolts to roof bars. The mounting kit is included and the platform arrives pre-assembled, with the side rails not yet fitted.

Are vehicle-specific mounts included?

No, the mounts are chosen separately. EFS lists EFSPM-FORD-02 (Ford Ranger PY and VW Amarok from 06.2022), EFSPM-MITS-02 (Mitsubishi L200 from 2024), EFSPM-MITS-01 (Mitsubishi L200 2015-2024), EFSPM-TOY-01 (Toyota Hilux Revo 2016-2024) and EFSPM-ISU-01 (Isuzu D-Max and Mazda BT-50 2020-2024).

How much can I carry on it?

The manufacturer does not quote a figure for the tray itself; it states that you should check your own vehicle's maximum roof load before use — that is the number that decides your payload.
