An ICON Stage 2 suspension system for the Ford Bronco with the factory HOSS 2.0 package. Four 2.5 EXP Series shocks with internal reservoirs are paired with billet aluminium upper control arms that let you set caster and camber on the vehicle. Snap rings give 0-2 inches of front lift and 0-1.75 inches at the rear using the stock coil springs.

ICON Stage 2 Ford Bronco HOSS 2.0 – 0-2'' Suspension System with Billet Upper Arms (K40012)

A HOSS 2.0 Bronco leaves the factory better prepared than most, but start driving quickly on gravel, add gear and larger tyres and the OE dampers heat up and lose grip on body movement. This system raises the damping ceiling and, just as importantly, hands you control over front axle geometry.

Four ICON 2.5 EXP Series shocks do the work, backed by a pair of billet aluminium upper control arms with on-vehicle caster and camber adjustment. It suits owners who want the truck set up properly, not simply lifted.

FITMENT
Ford Bronco with HOSS 2.0 package
LIFT RANGE
0-2'' front, 0-1.75'' rear
UPPER ARMS
Billet, caster and camber adjustable

Key benefits

  • Billet arms allow caster and camber to be adjusted on the vehicle, so after a height change you can dial the alignment to your tyre size and load instead of settling for a compromise.
  • Corrected caster brings back straight-line stability and steering self-centring; corrected camber keeps tyre wear even across the tread.
  • The 2.5-inch body carries more oil and works with a larger piston than the steel OE damper, shedding heat faster and holding its damping character for longer.
  • Snap-ring height adjustment across 0-2 inches front and 0-1.75 inches rear means you can also choose a subtle stance if maximum lift is not the goal.
  • The system runs on the Bronco's factory coil springs and hardware, so you are not paying twice for parts already on the truck.
  • A 7/8-inch induction hardened, chrome plated shaft inside a one-piece hard-anodised aluminium body resists abrasion and corrosion.
  • The one-piece digressive piston is tuned for the Bronco and its stock springs, controlling body movement without punishing you over small chop.
  • PTFE-lined spherical bearings limit deflection and extend the life of the mounting points.
  • The Delta Joint PRO (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) gives up to 90 degrees of articulation, so the arm never limits axle travel at full cross-flex.
  • Shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, with ICON supplying service parts.

This kit makes sense if your Bronco carries the HOSS 2.0 package and you care less about maximum height than about how the suspension actually works and how precisely it can be aligned. It fits overland builds carrying extra weight, fast gravel driving, and daily use where predictable handling matters.

Installation notes

  • Fully bolt-on installation, no cutting or welding.
  • ICON requires recalibration of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) once the work is finished.
  • Quoted lift figures apply to a stock-configuration vehicle; added equipment will change the height achieved.
  • ICON lists this kit as not confirmed for OEM wheels and tyres and recommends aftermarket wheels: ICON Alloys 17x8.5'' with 4.75'' backspace (0 mm offset), 18x9'' with 5'' backspace (0 mm offset) or 20x9'' with 5'' backspace (0 mm offset).
  • Recommended tyres are 35x12.50 inch. On non-Sasquatch trucks ICON advises its high clearance crash bars, part number 42000, at that size. A 37-inch package needs front bump stop spacers, part number 611082, plus trimming and modification of the wheel arches.
  • The kit does not fit the Bronco Raptor or vehicles with the HOSS 1.0 package.
  • Book a wheel alignment after installation – that is where the billet arms earn their keep.

Why it is worth it

  • On-vehicle caster and camber adjustment is a real tool, especially once ride height and tyre size change.
  • The 2.5 EXP shocks can be rebuilt and re-valved, so the system keeps up as your build develops.
  • One manufacturer, one coherent tune, instead of assembling a suspension from several unrelated sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I recognise the HOSS 2.0 package?

HOSS 2.0 is Ford's upgraded suspension, offered on Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks and Black Diamond trims with the Sasquatch package and fitted as standard to Badlands, Wildtrak, First Edition and Everglades. The easiest check is the OE shock bodies: yellow means HOSS 2.0, black means HOSS 1.0 and a different kit.

How does this differ from the tubular arm version?

This kit uses billet aluminium upper control arms that adjust both caster and camber on the vehicle. The tubular version primarily provides caster correction. The shocks are identical in both kits.

Do I need new springs?

No. The system is built around the Bronco's factory coil springs and hardware, plus the OE upper shock and spring mounts.

Can I keep the factory wheels?

ICON lists this kit as not confirmed for OEM wheels and tyres and specifies aftermarket options instead: 17x8.5'' with 4.75'' backspace, 18x9'' with 5'' backspace or 20x9'' with 5'' backspace, all at 0 mm offset.

Is any calibration needed after installation?

Yes. ICON states that the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems must be recalibrated after installation, and a wheel alignment should follow as a matter of course.
