ICON Stage 2 Ford Bronco HOSS 2.0 – 0-2'' Suspension System with Tubular Upper Arms (K40012T)
An ICON Stage 2 suspension system for the Ford Bronco with the factory HOSS 2.0 package, in the tubular upper arm version. Four 2.5 EXP Series shocks with internal reservoirs add wheel travel and consistent damping, while the arms with Delta Joint PRO restore front geometry once the nose is lifted. Ride height is set with snap rings on the stock coil springs.
ICON Stage 2 Ford Bronco HOSS 2.0 – 0-2'' Suspension System with Tubular Upper Arms (K40012T)
The factory HOSS 2.0 dampers do a decent job over a short stretch, but a long run across washboard heats them up, and as the temperature climbs the damping precision goes with it. This system replaces them with four ICON 2.5 EXP Series shocks and adds tubular upper control arms to keep the front geometry in check.
It is the version for drivers who want a proper off-road suspension that can be serviced and re-valved later, without swapping springs or modifying the body.
FITMENT Ford Bronco with HOSS 2.0 package |
LIFT RANGE 0-2'' front, 0-1.75'' rear |
UPPER ARMS Tubular, caster correction, Delta Joint PRO |
Key benefits
- The 2.5-inch bodies hold more oil and run a larger piston than the steel OE units, so heat leaves faster and the damping stays consistent well into a hard section.
- Snap-ring adjustment covers 0-2 inches at the front and 0-1.75 inches at the rear, so you can keep a near-stock stance or lift the truck without changing any parts.
- Factory Bronco coil springs and hardware are reused, which puts your money into damping and geometry rather than duplicate components.
- A 7/8-inch induction hardened, chrome plated shaft inside a one-piece hard-anodised aluminium body delivers abrasion and corrosion resistance without giving up stiffness.
- The one-piece digressive piston, tuned for the Bronco, controls large suspension movements without making the truck harsh over small inputs.
- PTFE-lined spherical bearings reduce play in the mounts and extend their service life.
- Tubular upper arms restore caster, which moves outside the factory window as soon as the front is lifted – that correction is what keeps the truck tracking straight and the steering self-centring.
- The patented Delta Joint PRO (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) allows up to 90 degrees of articulation, so the arm never limits axle travel at full cross-flex.
- Shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, with ICON supplying the service parts.
- ICON lists this kit as compatible with OEM wheels and tyres, so new wheels are not a prerequisite.

This kit is for you if your Bronco has the HOSS 2.0 package, you use it off-road regularly and you want serious damping without rebuilding the truck. It is also the sensible choice when you plan to keep the factory wheels and tyres but still want suspension that can be rebuilt and tuned to how you drive.
Installation notes
- Fully bolt-on installation, no cutting or welding.
- ICON requires recalibration of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after the work is done.
- Quoted lift figures apply to a stock-configuration vehicle; extra load changes the result.
- Recommended tyres are 35x12.50 inch; a 37-inch package needs front bump stop spacers, part number 611082, plus trimming and modification of the wheel arches.
- Recommended ICON Alloys wheels: without Sasquatch, 17x8.5'' with 5.75'' backspace or 18x9'' with 6.00'' backspace (25 mm offset); with Sasquatch, 17x8.5'' with 4.75'' backspace, or 18x9'' and 20x9'' with 5.00'' backspace (0 mm offset).
- The kit does not fit the Bronco Raptor or vehicles with the HOSS 1.0 package.
- Have the wheel alignment set once the ride height has changed.
Why it is worth it
- Shocks and arms come from one manufacturer as a matched set – no guessing whether the parts will work together.
- Tubular arms with the Delta Joint PRO look after caster and articulation, which is what decides how the truck behaves after a lift.
- The dampers are serviceable and re-valvable, so the system stays with the vehicle for the long run.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does this differ from the billet arm version?
The shocks are identical. The difference is the upper control arms: this version uses tubular arms that provide caster correction, while the billet version, machined from solid aluminium, adds on-vehicle camber adjustment as well.
Will it fit my Bronco?
The kit is only for Broncos with the factory HOSS 2.0 suspension package – Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks and Black Diamond with the Sasquatch package, plus Badlands, Wildtrak, First Edition and Everglades as standard. Yellow OE shock bodies are the giveaway. It does not fit the Bronco Raptor.
Can I keep the factory wheels and tyres?
Yes. ICON lists this kit as compatible with OEM wheels and tyres. If you plan to go larger, the recommended size is 35x12.50 inch, and 37-inch tyres call for front bump stop spacers, part number 611082, plus trimming of the wheel arches.
Do the springs need replacing?
No. The system uses the Bronco's factory coil springs and hardware along with the OE upper shock and spring mounts.
Can the shocks be rebuilt later?
Yes. The 2.5 EXP Series shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable by a qualified shock technician, and ICON supplies the service parts.
