A set of four 30 mm aluminium wheel spacers for the Land Rover Discovery III and IV and the current Defender: 5x120.62 bolt pattern, 72.56 mm centre bore, M14x1.5 studs in grade 10.9. Adds 60 mm of track per axle and makes room for a larger tyre.

Wheel Spacers 30 mm Land Rover Discovery III, IV, Defender II 5x120.62 CB 72.56 (4 pcs)

The Discovery III and IV leave the factory with the rims tucked well inside the arches. Fit an all-terrain tyre and the issue doubles: the stance looks narrow and the tread starts hunting for the suspension at full lock. A set of four 30 mm spacers settles both axles at once.

Every wheel moves out by 30 mm, so axle track grows by 60 mm. The vehicle gains a wider, more planted stance and the tyre gets back the space it lost when you went up a size.

Key benefits

  • 60 mm of extra track on each axle — a consistent stance front and rear.
  • An aluminium body, so unsprung mass grows less than with a steel part of the same thickness.
  • Grade 10.9 studs with an M14x1.5 thread, matching this Land Rover family.
  • A 72.56 mm centre bore sized for the Discovery III/IV and the current-generation Defender hub.
  • A full-vehicle set in one box — no need to order two separate pairs.

What is in the box

  • 4 bolt-on 30 mm spacers with their own studs — a set for the front and rear axle.

The manufacturer lists the application as Land Rover Defender and Discovery, generation III (2004-2009), IV (2009-2016) and models from 2020 onwards. This is the set for you if you are moving to taller all-terrain tyres, fitting rims with a different offset, or you simply want the wheels to fill the arches instead of hiding under them.

Fitting notes

The spacers are bolt-on: they mount to the hubs using the factory hardware and the wheels seat on their M14x1.5 studs. Before fitting, check that the centre bore of your rims works with a 72.56 mm spacer and that the wider stance stays within the arch — 60 mm per axle is clearly visible. Fitting, measurement and advice are available at our off-road workshop.

Why it is worth it

  • A ready-made set matched to specific Discovery and Defender generations, not a generic spacer chosen by eye.
  • Aluminium plus grade 10.9 studs — a sensible balance of weight against mounting strength.
  • One order instead of two pairs bought separately.

If your Discovery already runs bigger tyres, this set is the logical next step.
