Overlander Explorer Roof Tent 193 cm with Sky Roof
The largest tent in this family was built for people who live on the road rather than just sleep on it. Nearly two metres of sleeping width plus the extension at the back give you space to sit out a rainy day without climbing down from the roof.
The Explorer 193 cm opens to 193 x 310 x 126 cm and can be set up two ways – opening to the rear or to the side, depending on how you park at camp.

Key benefits
- 193 cm wide – the widest version in this family, meaning real room across the sleeping area.
- Sky Roof with a PVC window – daylight inside and a view of the sky at night, without opening the tent.
- 600D Oxford body, 260 g, rated PU2000 mm+ – tear-resistant fabric that stands up to rain, not just morning dew.
- 55 mm high-density foam mattress – the bed is ready the moment the tent is open, and the cotton cover comes off for washing.
- Side windows with insect mesh – ventilation without insects inside.
- Large SBS zips – the part of a roof tent that works hardest, so its quality drives the life of the whole thing.
- 550 g PVC outer cover – protects the packed tent from rain and road grime.
- Built-in extension – deployed depth of 310 cm, i.e. 70 cm more than the Adventure 193 cm.

Who it is for. For longer expeditions, family trips and anyone who treats a roof tent as a base camp rather than just a bed. It is the roomiest configuration in the family – and the heaviest, so the rated roof and rack load is the first thing to check.
Fitting notes
The tent deploys from the roof and you climb in on the supplied 2.3 m telescopic ladder. At a gross weight of ok. 58 kg the rated roof and bar load of your vehicle is the decisive figure – check it before ordering. It is also worth comparing the packed size (190 x 123 x 28 cm) with the spacing of your roof bars.
The tent can be set up two ways: opening to the rear or to the side. A note on the distributor photos: some of them show a 163 cm wide tent fitted to a vehicle, not the 193 cm one.

Why it is worth it
- The widest version in the Overlander 3.0 family – 193 cm is something no longer mattress can make up for.
- Shell figures stated as numbers: 600D, 260 g, PU2000 mm+, 550 g PVC cover.
- Mattress, ladder and cover included – no need to assemble the set piece by piece.
If you want a roof tent where the width of the bed is not a compromise, this is the one.
