Annex designed for the 160 cm wide Overlander Explorer 3.0 roof top tent with sliding roof. It creates a covered vestibule with 1.6 m headroom for luggage, gear and changing. Tear-resistant 420D Oxford polyester body, PU 2000 mm+ waterproof rating, 550 g PVC outer skin, SBS zippers and a door giving access to the vehicle.

Overlander Explorer 3.0 Tent Annex 160 CM

Two nights into a trip it becomes obvious that the tent alone is not enough: boots, jerry cans and wet jackets have nowhere to go, and changing clothes on the ladder each morning stops being funny. An annex closes in the space under the tent and turns it into a sheltered vestibule.

This version is matched to the Overlander Explorer 3.0 in the 160 cm width with sliding roof. With 1.6 m of headroom you get real room for gear and for sorting yourself out without stepping into the rain.

Key benefits

  • 420D Oxford polyester — resistant to tearing and abrasion, so it copes with the ladder, branches and constant packing away.
  • PU 2000 mm+ waterproof rating — the polyurethane-coated fabric keeps a dry zone under the tent through normal rainfall.
  • Breathable fabric — air circulation limits heat and moisture build-up inside the annex.
  • PVC outer skin weighing 550 g — durable and weather-resistant, keeping dust and dirt out.
  • SBS zipper — a large, hard-wearing slider designed for frequent use.
  • Door with vehicle access — step from the vestibule straight into the cabin.

Who it is for — trips where the vehicle stays put for several days: a climbing base camp, a fishing weekend, longer overlanding. The annex supplies what a roof top tent by definition lacks — enclosed, covered floor space at ground level, without pitching a separate tent beside the car.

Fitment / notes

This annex matches the Explorer 3.0 series in 160 cm width. Explorer variants in other widths and the Adventure series take their own annexes, so confirm the marking on your tent before ordering.

Why it is worth it

  • More usable camp space without a second tent and a second pitching job.
  • 420D fabric, a PU 2000 mm+ rating and SBS zippers are what actually determine how long an annex lasts.
  • A model-specific fit instead of a universal workaround.

If you run the Overlander Explorer 3.0 in 160 cm, this is the annex made for it — get in touch before ordering if you are unsure which version you have.
