HD Tubular Rock Sliders Suzuki Samurai with Reinforcing Tube (Pair)
The reinforced version of the Raptor 4x4 tubular rock sliders for the Suzuki Samurai: an outer reinforcing tube sits over the 50 mm base tube and takes the first contact with rock. Chassis mounted, powder coated, supplied as a pair with all hardware.
HD Tubular Rock Sliders for Suzuki Samurai with Reinforcing Tube (Pair)
The difference between a slider that survives a season and one that outlives the car comes down to how much material takes the hit. Once a Samurai regularly lands on its side against a rock, or slides down a ledge on the sill, a single tube starts to flex.
This version uses the same mounting layout as the 07041 sliders but adds an outer reinforcing tube. The base is unchanged: 50 mm tube, chassis mounting, a both-sides kit with all the hardware. Weight goes from 14 kg to 16 kg, and those two kilos are the reinforcement.
Fits Suzuki Samurai (short wheelbase) | Build HD — with reinforcing tube | Base tube 50 mm diameter | Weight 16 kg |
Key benefits
- The outer reinforcing tube takes the first contact with rock and shields the main tube — that matters when leaning the car on obstacles is part of the plan rather than an accident.
- Chassis-mounted structure, so loads bypass the thin sill panel entirely.
- Protects the sills and lower door edges from rocks and roots.
- Doubles as a hi-lift jacking point, which the Samurai does not have from the factory.
- Powder coated rather than simply painted.
- Easier entry, especially on a lifted truck.
- Complete mounting kit supplied, nothing to source separately.

Who it is for
For a truck whose flanks meet the terrain regularly: trial sections, rocky climbs, expeditions through boulder fields. If you deliberately rest your Samurai against an obstacle to get through, the extra tube pays for itself at the first serious contact. For calmer forest and gravel driving, the standard RAP-07041 is enough.
Fitting notes
Raptor's own instructions start with getting the car up, ideally on a lift. You loosely fit the front, centre and rear brackets and, if the chassis does not already have the right holes, drill two at the front and two at the rear on each side — eight in total. The slider is then offered up against the mounting plates, everything is bolted together and only once it is aligned do you torque it all down. Repeat on the other side. Hardware is included: 16 zinc-plated TE 10x35 bolts, 16 D.10 self-locking nuts and 32 D.10 flat washers. If drilling the chassis is not something you want to take on, our 4x4 workshop handles this kind of fitting routinely.
Why buy it
- Two tubes instead of one at the point that takes the most abuse off-road.
- The same proven chassis mounting and the same manufacturer instructions as the standard version.
- The step up from 07041 costs little next to straightening and repainting a Samurai sill.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it differ from RAP-07041?
The manufacturer describes 07042 as the build with an outer reinforcing tube. Everything else is shared: 50 mm tube, chassis mounting, both sides in the kit. Weight rises from 14 kg to 16 kg.
Is the price for a pair?
Yes. Raptor states the price refers to the pair, complete with hardware and everything needed for fitting.
Does the chassis need drilling?
The instructions shared by 07041 and 07042 say that if the chassis lacks the right holes, you drill two at the front and two at the rear per side, eight in total.
Can I hi-lift the car from these sliders?
Yes, the distributor lists that capability among the product features.
Will they fit a long wheelbase Samurai?
The manufacturer specifies the short wheelbase version. For a long wheelbase car, contact us before ordering.
