A pair of reinforced adjustable rear upper control arms from Raptor 4x4 for the Nissan Terrano. A 42 x 5 mm tube and greasable uniball joints replace compliant rubber bushings, and adjustable length lets you correct rear axle position after a lift. Black version.

Adjustable Rear Upper Uniball Control Arms Raptor 4x4 – Nissan Terrano, Black

A lifted Terrano can surprise you: the clearance is there, the tyres are there, and yet the rear end under load behaves as if the suspension had opinions of its own. Usually it is not the springs – it is that the factory upper arms offer no adjustment at all and their bushings give way under pressure.

This pair is built from 42 x 5 mm tube running on greasable uniball joints. The manufacturer states they handle rear axle fore-and-aft positioning relative to the chassis.

Key benefits

  • Length adjustment lets you position the rear axle after the lift rather than hoping factory dimensions still work.
  • Reinforced 42 x 5 mm tube resists bending on obstacle contact and under the torque a locked axle can generate.
  • Uniball joints do not give way under load the way rubber bushings do, so the geometry you set is repeatable.
  • Grease nipples mean joints get serviced at inspection instead of being ignored until they knock.
  • Italian manufacture within the Raptor 4x4 Terrano range.

Technical data

  • Manufacturer: Raptor 4x4 (catalogue code 12132, black version 12132B)
  • Type: rear upper control arms, reinforced, adjustable length
  • Tube section: 42 x 5 mm
  • Joints: Raptor Joint uniball with grease nipple
  • Finish: black paint
  • Quantity: pair (2 pieces)
  • Vehicle: Nissan Terrano I (1988–1995) and Terrano II (1995–2005)

Who it is for: lifted Terranos that need their rear axle geometry sorted, and builds running larger tyres and heavier off-road use where the factory arms are already at their limit.

Fitting notes

These replace the factory arms. Set the length with the vehicle on its wheels at the intended ride height – measuring any earlier is pointless. Grease the uniball joints during fitting. Changing upper arm length moves the axle, so check driveshaft clearance and Panhard rod position afterwards. They work best set up together with the rear lower arms (reference RAP-12131B).

Why it is worth it

  • Rear axle adjustment is something the factory arms simply do not offer.
  • Heavy-wall tube and uniballs instead of rubber are specified for real loads, not for a catalogue photo.
  • Serviceable joints mean maintenance is a grease gun, not a new set of arms.

If you are sorting the rear axle on a lifted Terrano, this pair completes the job alongside the lower arms.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pieces are included?

Two arms – the manufacturer supplies them as a pair.

What are they made from?

A 42 x 5 mm tube, made entirely in Italy by Raptor 4x4. This reference is the black painted version.

What exactly can be adjusted?

The manufacturer states the upper arms control rear axle fore-and-aft positioning relative to the chassis.

Do they have to be bought with the lower arms?

Not necessarily, but full control over rear axle setup comes from running both: uppers (RAP-12132B) and lowers (RAP-12131B).

Do the joints need maintenance?

Yes. The Raptor uniball joints have grease nipples and are designed for periodic greasing – do it at installation as well.
