Extended Rear Braided Brake Hose +10 cm Toyota Land Cruiser 70 KZJ/LJ

The rear axle of a Land Cruiser 70 can drop surprisingly far when the chassis twists off road. The factory brake hose is sized for factory ride height, and after a lift it starts working at its limit: first it pulls tight, then it chafes, and eventually it lets go.

This Raptor 4x4 hose adds 10 cm of length, which is exactly the slack a lifted truck is missing. The aeronautical braid adds mechanical protection that matters most at the rear, where the line sits closest to loose stones thrown up by the wheels.

Application
Rear axle, LC 70 KZJ/LJ
Extra length
+10 cm over standard
Braid
Aeronautical braid

Key benefits

  • An extra 10 cm lets the rear axle use its full travel without loading the hose.
  • The aeronautical braid guards against chafing, which counts at the rear where the line takes the most gravel.
  • The manufacturer rates this hose for aggressively lifted setups as well as mild ones.
  • Sold as a single piece, so you match the number of lines to your brake system layout.

For any lifted LJ70 or KZJ70, and equally for trucks whose original hoses are old enough to show cracking. If you are doing the lift properly, pair it with the front version, part number 15204A.

Fitting and notes

After fitting, the brake system must be bled and the fluid level checked. Route and secure the hose so that at maximum rear axle droop it is neither stretched nor rubbing against suspension or body components.

If you would rather not take chances with the braking system, the Szekla4x4 workshop handles hose replacement and bleeding.

Why it is worth it

  • Ten centimetres is precisely the slack a lift removes, not an arbitrary safety margin.
  • The aeronautical braid measurably reduces the risk of chafing off road.
  • It completes the job alongside the 15204A front hose.

Brake hoses are the wrong place to economise. Change them at the same time as the suspension.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the front or the rear hose?

The rear one. The manufacturer assigns part number 15204B to the rear position; the front version is 15204A.

Does the price cover a single piece?

Yes, this item is sold individually.

Do the brakes need bleeding after replacement?

Yes. Disconnecting the line always admits air, so the brakes must be bled and the fluid level checked after fitting.

What kind of suspension is it intended for?

The manufacturer specifies lifted suspension, including aggressively modified setups. The hose is 10 cm longer than the original.
