The inside of a Suzuki Samurai differential, cut for 26-spline axle shafts: Raptor 4x4 spider gears and side gears. Without new side gears the thicker spline will not enter the diff, so this is a mandatory part of any conversion from the factory 22-spline setup. The manufacturer intends it for the rear axle, with the front also convertible.

The Samurai leaves the factory with 22-spline axle shafts, sized for skinny tyres and standard torque. Fit taller rubber, add a locker and a little determination on the trail, and sooner or later a spline snaps somewhere far from the trailer. Moving up to the thicker 26-spline shaft is the usual way out — but the shaft on its own gets you nowhere.
A 26-spline shaft only slides home if the differential side gears carry the same spline count. This Raptor 4x4 kit replaces the inside of the diff: spider gears plus side gears cut for 26 splines. Together with matching axle shafts it makes the conversion physically possible.
