Control Arms
Raptor 4x4 2" Uniball Bushing – Weld-In Control Arm Joint
A Uniball-type bushing 2" (50.8 mm) wide with a 7/16" bore, designed to be welded into a control arm. The polyurethane insert is replaceable and grease nipples allow proper lubrication. The smaller of the two sizes in this family – suited to lighter suspension components.
Raptor 4x4 2" Uniball Bushing – Weld-In Joint
A factory rubber-and-steel bush has one job: to damp. As soon as you lift a vehicle, change the geometry and start chasing articulation, that damping becomes the limit – the arm resists twisting, the bush works on an angle and tears itself apart. A uniball joint takes the opposite approach: it allows movement in several planes instead of fighting rubber.
This Raptor 4x4 bushing, 2" (50.8 mm) wide, is a finished weld-in part. You use it when you are building your own control arms, links or panhard rods and want a joint that can be serviced rather than replaced whole.
BUSHING WIDTH 2" (50.8 mm) | INNER DIAMETER 7/16" | INSERT Polyurethane, replaceable |
LUBRICATION Grease nipples fitted | INSTALLATION Weld-in | WEIGHT 0.8 kg per manufacturer |
Key benefits
- Replaceable polyurethane insert – you rebuild the joint instead of buying a new arm, which genuinely cuts running costs on a vehicle used off-road.
- Grease nipples built in – the joint can be greased properly without stripping it down, and that is what keeps it alive after a muddy season.
- A finished weld-in component – no improvising with joints borrowed from other applications when building your own arms.
- 2" (50.8 mm) width and a 7/16" bore – hard numbers you can drop straight into an arm design.
- Service parts for this bushing are sold separately, so a repair does not turn into a parts hunt.

This is a part for workshops and for people building suspension from scratch: control arms for a lift kit, panhard rods, links for a suspension conversion. The distributor rates the build quality of these bushings alongside Johnny Joint units.
Fitting notes
The bushing is designed to be welded into an arm tube, so it calls for welding and for the geometry to be set before the weld goes down. The inner bolt colour (black or gold) depends on the production batch and does not affect the specification. If you would rather have the arms built or reworked for you, that is work we do in our own workshop.
Why it is worth it
- A serviceable joint instead of a pressed-in bush you can only throw away.
- Defined, repeatable dimensions that make designing your own suspension parts easier.
- Spares are available, so the joint makes sense over several seasons rather than one trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the dimensions?
2" wide, i.e. 50.8 mm, with a 7/16" inner diameter.
How does it differ from the 2.5" version?
In size. The 2.5" version is 63.5 mm wide with a 9/16" bore; this one is 50.8 mm with a 7/16" bore.
Does it need to be welded in?
Yes, it is a finished component to weld into an arm or link tube.
Is the joint serviceable?
Yes. The polyurethane insert is replaceable and the grease nipples allow lubrication without disassembly.
