The larger of the Raptor 4x4 uniballs: a 1'' right-hand shank, a 9/16'' (14.28 mm) joint bore and a 63.5 mm wide sleeve. The manufacturer uses this size in its own suspensions for Suzuki, Patrol, Land Rover and Wrangler. Nut included; the weld-in steel bushing is a separate item.

Raptor Joint 2.5'' Uniball Arm End – 1'' Shank, 9/16'' Bore

The taller the lift and the bigger the tyre, the harder the control arm works at an angle – and the faster a factory rubber bush turns into a source of knocking. On heavier builds the spherical joint itself also has to grow, because it genuinely carries more load.

The Raptor Joint 2.5'' is the beefier version of the spherical end. Its 1'' shank threads into the arm tube and the wide 63.5 mm sleeve gives the joint a solid seat. The manufacturer fits this size in its own suspension kits for Suzuki, Nissan Patrol, Land Rover and Jeep Wrangler.

Shank thread
1'' RH (25.4 mm)
Joint bore
9/16'' – 14.28 mm
Sleeve width
2.5'' – 63.5 mm

Key benefits

  • Headroom for heavier builds – a 1'' thread and a 63.5 mm sleeve mean more material than the 2'' version, which counts with big tyres and a serious lift.
  • Free arm movement – a spherical joint does not wind up like rubber, so at full axle cross the suspension moves without loading its mounts.
  • Grease fittings in the housing – top the joint up with an ordinary grease gun, no disassembly. On a truck that sees mud and water this is the simplest way to make it last.
  • Proven in the maker's own kits – Raptor 4x4 uses this exact size in its complete suspension systems for Suzuki, Patrol, Land Rover and Wrangler.
  • Nut included – the part arrives ready to fit, without hunting for hardware.

Installation notes

The shank screws into the threaded tube of the arm. If the joint is to sit in a welded mount you also need the steel weld-in bushing, which in this size is a separate item: RAP-RPRJ9113B (57 mm tall, 1'' right-hand thread). The 14 mm mounting bolts are bought separately as well. Leave the welding to a workshop if you do not have the equipment.

Why it is worth it

  • The largest size in the Raptor Joint family – strength headroom for big tyres.
  • The same solution the manufacturer fits in its complete suspension kits.
  • Serviceable thanks to the grease fittings in the housing.

If you are building arms for a serious lift, this size gives you the most margin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the weld-in steel bushing included?

No. For the 2.5'' size the manufacturer supplies the nut, while the weld-in bushing is a separate item – RAP-RPRJ9113B, 57 mm tall with a 1'' right-hand thread.

Which bolts do I need?

The joint bore is 9/16'' (14.28 mm). The manufacturer specifies 14 mm bolts and sells them separately.

Which vehicles use this size?

Raptor 4x4 fits the 2.5'' end in its suspensions for Suzuki, Nissan Patrol, Land Rover and Jeep Wrangler. The end itself is a universal component – what matters is the geometry of your particular arm.

How does the 2.5'' differ from the 2''?

The 2.5'' uses a 1'' thread, a 9/16'' bore and a 63.5 mm sleeve. The 2'' version (RAP-RPRJ9112SP) has a 3/4'' thread, a 7/16'' bore and a 50.8 mm sleeve.

Can the joint be greased?

Yes. Grease fittings in the housing let you top the sleeve up without taking the joint apart.
