MetalCloak Jeep JK Wrangler 3.5" Game-Changer Suspension & Lift Kit (A1235*) – fits Jeep Wrangler JK

Kit overview image

Key benefits

• Designed for maximum UP and DOWN travel (usable compression and droop) with a geometry-focused mid-arm layout.
• Duroflex joints are self-centering, rebuildable and engineered for high misalignment (34°), helping control arms articulate without binding.
• Kevlar reinforcement (DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber) is used in the Duroflex joint elastomer compound to improve durability.
• True Dual Rate coils are aimed at a smoother, more stable ride than typical single-rate lift springs, while staying planted at extreme articulation thanks to long free length.
• Durotrak bushings reduce NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) and are designed to rotate in a vertical plane to help keep the axle centered and steering feel consistent.
• Adjustable front and rear bump stops allow travel tuning for tire clearance without removing the coils (adjustable from 1" to 4" per the manufacturer).
• Shock configuration flexibility: the suspension can be purchased with different shock options (including 6Pak, RockSport variants and Fox).

Articulation visuals (manufacturer graphics)

• The manufacturer states the Duroflex joint provides 28° more articulation/flex than typical control arms, and shows a 68° max articulation illustration for a Dual Duroflex control arm example.

True Dual Rate coils – what it means (plus media)

• True Dual Rate coils are presented as a dual-rate design intended to ride smoother and stay more stable than traditional single-rate lift springs, while handling load better than typical “multi-rate/progressive” coils.
• The manufacturer highlights long free length to help keep the spring seated and in contact during extreme articulation.

Coil isolators

• Coil isolators are made from thermoset elastomer and are described as an upgrade pad designed specifically to work with MetalCloak True Dual Rate coils.

Durotrak track bars – NVH-focused bushing and axle control

• Durotrak is described as a patented, two-part bushing designed to reduce NVH and improve steering input; it threads together for installation without a press.
• Track bars are presented as formed for clearance and designed with both up-travel and down-travel in mind.

Adjustable bump stops & extended brake lines

• Front bump stops: adjustable from 1" to 4" without removing coils (as stated on the product page).
• Rear bump stops: rectangular puck-style system designed for the JK, allowing 1" to 4" adjustment per the manufacturer.
• Brake lines: described as longer than typical for similar lift heights due to added clearance and travel; listed as 24.5" replacement brake lines.

Outboard shock mount (spacer kit) – media

• Described as a kit that moves the front lower shock mounts away from the frame rails for clearance at extreme articulation; includes Grade 8 hardware; manufactured from laser cut 3/16" steel and CNC bent; treated with Gold Zinc Chromate.
• Important note on the page: when using OE wheels, 2" spacers are needed for proper clearance; intended for wheels with 4.5" backspacing or less (or equivalent spacer on factory wheels).

Shock options – visuals (as offered on the product page)

• 6Pak™: presented as a long-travel platform focused on maximizing travel relative to compressed length (manufacturer notes it uses parallel shafts and opposing reservoirs).
• RockSport RED: the page lists lengths (Front: 28.5" extended / 17.1" collapsed; Rear: 28.0" extended / 16.3" collapsed).
• Fox: described as a direct bolt-on replacement in this context; the page lists lengths (Front: 27.8" extended / 17.75" collapsed; Rear: 28.0" extended / 17.75" collapsed) and notes a minimum 3" of bump stop is required.
• RockSport Black: described as remote reservoir with digressive valving; the page lists lengths (Front: 28.7" extended / 17.4" collapsed; Rear: 28.8" extended / 17.5" collapsed).
• Compression adjustment (RockSport Black Adjustable Reservoir): 8 settings, adding 15% compression force per click as stated on the product page.

Who this is for / use cases

• JK owners who want a complete suspension system centered around articulation and controllable travel (not just taller springs).
• Drivers who care about daily drivability and steering feel, while still building for aggressive off-road flex.
• Builds that need shock flexibility (from simpler setups to long-travel concepts), while keeping the rest of the kit matched as a system.

Installation / notes

• Installation difficulty: Moderate.
• Body modification: None.
• Estimated install time: 6–8 hours.
• Note (manufacturer): all 2012+ JK Wranglers require either exhaust spacers or a driveshaft (front driveshaft clearance consideration).
• Note (manufacturer): 6Pak shocks are not shipped outside North America; ordering them outside the USA/Canada includes stated limitations regarding lifetime customer service and manufacturer warranty.
• Note (manufacturer): alignment by a suspension specialist is recommended after installation.
• Note (manufacturer): the item is sold as a complete system; components cannot be swapped/removed and partial returns are not accepted.
