OSRAM LEDsBIKE COMPACT REAR – LED rear bike light with brake function
OSRAM LEDsBIKE COMPACT REAR LEDBRL104 is a rechargeable LED rear bike light with an intelligent brake-light function active in both Steady and Automatic modes. Its 3.7 V Li-Ion battery provides up to 13 hours of runtime and recharges via USB-C in 2 hours. The light is IP54-rated. OSRAM confirms German StVZO approval with K-mark; road use in Poland must also meet local mounting, visibility and rear-reflector requirements.
OSRAM LEDsBIKE COMPACT REAR – rear light with brake function
OSRAM LEDsBIKE COMPACT REAR LEDBRL104 is a rechargeable LED rear bike light combining a red rear light with an intelligent brake-light function. An integrated sensor detects braking and provides a more noticeable light signal to traffic behind. The brake function remains active in both Steady and Automatic modes.
Key benefits
- Intelligent brake-light function – braking is detected by the integrated sensor in both operating modes.
- Up to 13 hours of runtime – the built-in Li-Ion battery is designed for regular everyday use.
- USB-C charging in 2 hours – convenient charging without removing disposable batteries.
- IP54 protection – protection rating specified by OSRAM.
- Tool-free mounting – a flexible mounting system makes installation straightforward.
Steady, Automatic and brake-light function
The light provides Steady and Automatic operating modes. According to the OSRAM instructions, the brake-light function remains active in both modes. The integrated sensor detects braking and triggers a more prominent rear light signal.
Battery and charging
The built-in Li-Ion battery operates at a nominal 3.7 V. OSRAM specifies up to 13 hours of runtime and a charging time of 2 hours via USB-C. The specified ambient temperature for charging is 0–45°C.
StVZO and road use
OSRAM confirms German StVZO approval with K-mark for on-road use in Germany. This should not be interpreted as automatic confirmation of compliance with every requirement applicable in Poland or another country.
For bicycles used in Poland, a red rear position light and a separate red non-triangular rear reflector are required. Local rules also specify visibility and installation requirements. The OSRAM instructions specify a mounting height of 250–1,200 mm and a 90° mounting position.
Legal road use therefore depends on correct installation and compliance with the requirements applying to the bicycle in the country of use.
Protection and mounting
The LEDBRL104 carries an IP54 protection rating. Its flexible mounting system is designed for tool-free installation. OSRAM does not publish a confirmed seatpost-diameter range in the documents reviewed, so fit should be checked before installation on unusual or oversized seatposts.
