This is the whole Overland rocker system as one item: the rocker base that bolts to the side of the vehicle, plus the flip steps that mount to it. The manufacturer sells both separately — here they come together, matched and ready.

? Honestly about the price: the kit is not cheaper

We checked and we will say it plainly: the kit's list price is exactly the sum of the two parts bought separately (base 3317 + steps 3327). The kit is ordering convenience and one stock line, not a discount.

Take the kit if you want both anyway — less ordering, one delivery date, one fitment.
Buy separately if you want to start with the base and add the steps later. The mounting points are in the base from the outset, so nothing is lost.

What each part does

• The rocker base — 1/8in CAD formed steel plate in a boat side shape, angled outwards so obstacles deflect rather than catch. The manufacturer gives the benchmark: "as much protection as the factory Rubicon rockers".
• The Flip Steps — 1½in × .120 tube reinforced with 1/8in plate, mounted in multiple configurations: as a comfortable high-clearance step, or as a low rub rail (about 15 cm below the door sill).

? A customer puts the point of it most simply: "I finalized my decision on these because my lady is short and wanted a step but did not want them hanging low on the trail. They are functional on the road and out on the rocks."

⚠ What this kit does not replace

This is protection at factory Rubicon level with a step function, not rock sliders for leaning the whole side of the vehicle onto stone. For that there are the Overline rocker rails (3315 for the 4-door) — heavier, dearer, with 3/16in plate and Hi-Lift points. We stock those too.

Installation notes

The manufacturer rates it easy, 2–4 hours, with no cutting or welding. Reviews of the base confirm there is markedly less drilling here than with the ExoSkin plates. The steps themselves are 10 minutes once the base is on.

⚠ For custom paint the manufacturer requires a test fit before painting and does not cover the cost of any finish applied. With the powder coated version that does not arise.

Does it fit a 2-door JK?

No. The 2-door kit is 3350, which we also stock.

Is any cutting or welding needed?

No. No body modification, cutting or welding — the kit bolts to the side of the vehicle.

How far down does the step hang?

In the low position the manufacturer states about 6in, roughly 15 cm below the door sill. In the high position clearance is preserved.

Is this enough for rock work?

For genuinely leaning the side onto rock, the Overline rocker rails (3315) are better. This kit is factory Rubicon level plus a step function.

What is the lead time?

3–5 weeks at the manufacturer plus transport to Poland.
