Rear ExoSkin Plates Pair Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door MetalCloak
MetalCloak rear ExoSkin plates for the 2-door Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018, black powder coat. 1/8in laser cut steel, full size template and riv-nuts included. The simplest and cheapest of MetalCloak's three rear plates — it protects the corner alone, 1-2 h install. Integrates with the ExoCorner light kits.
MetalCloak Rear ExoSkin Plates, Black Powder Coat, Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door (pair)
The rear corner of a JK tub takes a hit on every tight manoeuvre, and the metal there is thin and unbraced. This kit is MetalCloak's simplest and cheapest answer to that problem.
ExoSkin plates in 1/8in steel (3.2 mm), laser cut, bolted over the factory rear quarter skin. One customer put it most concisely: "Good rock protection and strength to body without full exo-skin."

VEHICLE Wrangler JK 2-door 2007–2018 | MATERIAL 1/8in laser cut steel black textured powder coat | INSTALLATION 1–2 h, easy riv-nuts + drilling |
? Which rear plate? Three levels, three prices
| part no. | coverage | Overline flare mounting |
| 3412 ← this listing | the corner only — smallest and cheapest | no |
| 3414 | from the door edge to the back of the quarter | no |
| 3411 | full plate cut for the arch | yes — built in |
We stock all three. This version is for someone who wants to protect the corner and nothing more — on factory flares, or Overland and Hardline ones.
Integration with the ExoCorner lights
The manufacturer designs this plate to integrate seamlessly with the ExoCorner LED taillight kit: an aluminium bar bolts to the plate and stiffens it. We stock both versions of the kit — 3430 (machined aluminium housings) and 3431 (ASA housings with side markers and reverse lights).
⚠ Note: the ExoCorner kits include their own ExoSkin plates. If the ExoCorner is on the plan from the start, this item would duplicate them — get in touch and we will advise.

Who it's for
For JK owners who want the rear corner protected at the lowest cost and in the shortest time — an hour or two rather than three, and the lowest price in the whole family of rear plates.
No reviews at the manufacturer yet — the 4-door version (3413) has 100% from four.
Installation notes
The manufacturer rates the install easy, 1–2 hours — the shortest in this family. Mounting relies on riv-nuts, and a full size template is included. Worth having your own spare riv-nuts and a step bit.
? A note from the reviews that may save trouble: one customer had a roof rack mounted in the same location — it could be worked around, but it needed a trial fit. If you have anything bolted to the rear corner, check it before drilling.

Frequently asked questions
Can I bolt Overline flares to this?
No. That is what 3411 is for, with its built-in mounting system. We stock it too.
How does it differ from the 3414?
Coverage. This plate protects the corner alone, while the 3414 runs from the rear door edge to the back of the quarter. This one is cheaper and quicker to fit.
Does it fit the 4-door JK?
No. That body has part number 3413, which we also stock.
Is there a raw metal version?
The manufacturer's page offers no finish choice — the black powder coated version is what ships.
Does it work with factory flares?
The manufacturer lists Overland, Hardline and most aftermarket. For factory flares, get in touch before ordering.
What is the lead time?
2–3 weeks at the manufacturer plus transport — shorter than the larger plates (3–5 weeks).
