MetalCloak — reservoir cut vented inner fender panel, pair, Jeep Wrangler JK

This is the Reservoir Cut version of the inner fender panel — cut at the factory for RockSport Black reservoir shocks. The reservoir on those shocks fouls the full panel, so you either trim your own or order this one: laser cut, clean edge, coating applied after cutting.

The manufacturer puts it plainly: “These are replacement pieces for those don't want to modify their current MetalCloak fender liners."

? This is not a full inner fender kit

The kit replaces one panel on each side — exactly the ones that foul the shock reservoir. It is for people who already have MetalCloak inner fender wells.

Venting

The panel carries the same laser-cut “M" venting as the standard version. The manufacturer quotes an engine bay temperature drop of up to 30°F (about 17°C) — the panel covers where cover is needed and opens where it only trapped hot air.

FAQ

How is this different from MC3292?

MC3292 is the standard panel. This one has the relief cut for a RockSport Black shock reservoir.

Do I need it with normal shocks?

No. The cut only matters with reservoir shocks.

Is this a complete inner fender kit?

No — two replacement panels. The full reservoir-cut set is MC3293.

Could I just trim my own panel?

You could, but you lose the coating at the cut edge and the clean finish. This panel is laser cut before coating.
