The factory JK rear bumper is trim. This one is a one-piece structure in 3/16in hot rolled steel — no bolted sections to work loose under load.
The key structural detail is the double-shear frame and shackle mounts — the plates sandwich the frame rail inside and out, so each bolt is loaded in shear across two planes instead of one. That is the difference between a bumper that survives a recovery pull and one that bends.
What the wide profile gives you
- It wraps the tub corners and protects them — the most exposed area at the back of a Jeep
- It works as a step — stand on it to reach the roof or a roof rack
- The end caps align with the rear fenders — the body line stays continuous and it reads as factory equipment, not an add-on

Finish and price
We supply the MetalCloak black textured powder coat version — a micro-texture semi-gloss that is easy to touch up after trail damage.
⚠ To be straight about it: powder coat is a very expensive option on this bumper — the manufacturer charges $350 on top of the $599 base. One customer said as much in a review and ordered his raw, coating it locally. If you would rather have it raw and finish it yourself, contact us for a quote.
⚠ The licence plate has to move
The manufacturer notes: “Requires relocation of the license plate." In Poland the plate must be visible and lit — plan a relocation bracket along with the bumper.
⚠ Shackle mounts are not for flat-towing
The manufacturer answers this directly: “No, we do not recommend flat towing with our bumpers. Instead, utilize a tow bar (ex. Blue Ox) for safe transport of the vehicle." The shackle mounts are recovery points, and only that.
Spare tyre
The manufacturer states the Full Duty system clears up to a 40in tyre when used with the HD SportGate tire carrier.

No. The manufacturer advises against it and points to a tow bar instead.
