MetalCloak — Combo bumper base skid plate, Jeep Wrangler JK
Behind the bumper base sits the factory frame crossbar — hanging low, unprotected and easy to hook on a rock or a stump. This plate closes that area and turns it into a skid surface: the obstacle slides under the Jeep instead of stopping it.

Construction
- 1/8in hot rolled steel, laser cut
- Mounts under the bumper base and the stock brackets — it does not cost clearance where clearance is tightest
- Black textured powder coat
- All hardware included
⚠ Requires the Combo bumper base
The plate is part of the modular MetalCloak bumper system and mounts to the Combo base (MC3160) or to a pre-configured Frame-Built no. 1200 / 1400 / 1500 build. It does not work with the factory bumper.
⚠ Bumpers bought before May 2014
In May 2014 the manufacturer updated the JK Frame-Built system. This plate may not fit bases bought before then.

FAQ
Does it fit the factory bumper?
No. A MetalCloak bumper base is required.
Does it also cover the engine or gearbox?
No. This protects the frame crossbar behind the bumper. Full underbody armour is a separate system (UnderCloak — our MC3365 and MC3366).
Does it cost ground clearance?
1/8in is about 3 mm — effectively nothing, and the crossbar is the lowest point anyway.
