MetalCloak — no-winch cover plate, Jeep Wrangler JK / JL and Gladiator JT

The Frame-Built bumper base has an opening for a winch. If you are not fitting one — not yet, or not at all — that opening stays open: you see the frame through it, and mud and snow get in.

This plate closes it. The “M" logo cutout integrates with the base's own cutout, so the result looks intended rather than plugged.

⚠ Requires the Combo bumper base

The plate fits the MetalCloak Combo base — JK (MC3160, which we stock) as well as the JL and JT Gladiator versions. It is not a stand-alone cover for the factory bumper.

The rest of the configuration — caps, winch guard, stinger, light bar — is chosen independently.

⚠ Bumpers bought before May 2014

In May 2014 the manufacturer updated the JK Frame-Built system. This plate may not fit bases bought before then.

FAQ

Can I remove it later and fit a winch?

Yes — it bolts on. It is the answer for the time before the winch arrives.

Does it fit the factory bumper?

No. A MetalCloak bumper base is required.

Does it fit the JL and Gladiator?

Yes, on the Combo base for those models.
