MetalCloak — RotoPax mount for the SportGate carrier, Jeep Wrangler JK

A bracket that mounts on the hinged side of the SportGate tire carrier. It lets you hang a 1–2 gallon RotoPax can off the back — spare fuel or water that does not take up cargo space.

Construction

• 1/8in steel plate, CAD designed, laser cut
• Uses the existing holes on the hinged side of the SportGate — no drilling
• Rattle-free attachment — the manufacturer makes a point of it
• Black textured powder coat, hardware included
• Bolts together in minutes

? Three limits worth knowing

• 1–2 gallon RotoPax only — the manufacturer states: “The SportGate RotoPax Mount works with a 1 - 2 Gallon Fuel Pax Only." The can itself is not included.
• Tyres up to 36in — “The SportGate RotoPax Mount works with most tire sizes up to a 36in tire." With a 37in there may not be room — and note the SportGate itself is rated to 37in.
• Only one accessory mount — “Only 1 accessory mount may be used with the SportGate." A can or a Hi-Lift or another bracket — not several.

⚠ To be straight about it: the manufacturer rating is 73% of 100 from 3 reviews — the lowest in this group of accessories. It is a small sample, but worth knowing the number before you buy.
