Fitting a large spare on a carrier costs you two things: somewhere to put the licence plate and a visible factory third brake light, which the tyre now hides. This kit solves both with one part.

Why the knobs
The manufacturer added them deliberately: “The license plate mount comes with a quick release/adjustment thumb knobs for easy removal on the trail when you need quick access to your spare tire." In practice: no hunting for a spanner to get at the spare.
⚠ Wiring is required
The manufacturer states it plainly: “Requires additional wiring to install." Power has to reach the brake light and the plate light — this is not a purely mechanical fit.
⚠ In Poland plate illumination is mandatory and the plate must be legible. This kit provides that, correctly wired. The manufacturer publishes no European approval mark for the lamps used; if your Jeep is registered, it is worth discussing — contact us.

The MetalCloak tire carrier — and, per the manufacturer, “any other tire carrier where you can access to the mounting plate from both sides". It mounts to the spare tire mounting plate.

FAQ
Will a European plate fit?
The bracket is designed around a US plate (about 30 × 15 cm). A Polish plate is 52 × 11 cm — wider and shorter. Contact us before ordering and we will go through the mounting.
Do I have to run wires?
Yes — the manufacturer states so directly.
Does it fit another brand's carrier?
The manufacturer allows it, provided you can reach both sides of the tire mounting plate.
