MetalCloak — gold zinc laser cut steel licence plate frame
A plate frame laser cut from 1/8in steel, with the MetalCloak name cut into the top and finished in gold zinc — the same coating the manufacturer uses on its underbody skids.

? Important for European customers: plate size
The manufacturer states it plainly: “Fits Standard Size License Plates (12.5 x 6.5)" — that is about 318 × 165 mm, the US standard.
A Polish licence plate is 520 × 114 mm — considerably wider and shorter. This frame does not fit a standard Polish plate.
It makes sense if:
- you run a reduced-size plate in another format (check the dimensions),
- you are mounting it as a decorative piece rather than around a registration plate,
- the vehicle is registered in a country using US-format plates.
We state this up front so you do not order a frame that will not go round your plate. If in doubt, contact us and we will check the measurements.
Construction
- 1/8in hot rolled steel, laser cut

FAQ
Will a Polish plate fit?
No — a Polish plate (520 × 114 mm) is too wide. The frame is US format.
Why gold zinc rather than black powder coat?
Zinc keeps protecting the steel after a scratch because it bonds molecularly to it — paint chips off and leaves bare metal.
Does it fit any vehicle?
The holes match the standard plate mounting pattern — what matters is the size of the plate itself.
