Rocklander — complete roof rack system, Jeep Wrangler JK 4-door

This is not a rack bolted to a roof channel. The Rocklander is an external 2in steel tube exo-skeleton that carries into the frame, not the roof skin — which is where its load rating and rigidity come from.

Along the way it shields the two most vulnerable parts of the body: the windscreen frame and the rear corners.

The Rocklander system is built by ARS (Adventure Rack Systems) — MetalCloak's sister brand, dedicated to cargo management for Jeeps. Made in the USA.

What the complete kit contains

• Front hoop — one piece, 2in tube, with welded 1in grab handles for climbing to the roof
• 4-door roof trusses — 2in × .120 tube with engineered bends for rigidity, and CNC clamps with threaded bolt holes
• Rear hoop — three-piece design, 1/4in steel frame mounts, 3/16in steel hard top adapter brackets
• NVH bushings — two-piece high-durometer urethane, against squeaks and rattles
• Industrial grade corrosion resistant hardware

Load ratings — two numbers to keep apart

• 850 lbs static (about 385 kg) — what the system carries parked, for example a roof tent with people in it
• 375 lbs dynamic (about 170 kg) — what you can carry while driving

⚠ These are the rack's own limits. The vehicle's permitted roof load and gross weight in the registration document are a separate matter — the JK's factory roof rating is far below 170 kg. This system carries the load into the frame rather than the roof, which changes the engineering but not the paperwork. Worth thinking through for road use — contact us if you are unsure.

The whole system is modular. We also stock the pieces individually: the front hoop (R55015), the rear hoop (R55024) and the roof trusses (R55020). The complete kit works out marginally cheaper than the sum of the parts.

Can I still take the Freedom Top off?

Yes — the system is designed for it.

Yes — that is what the R75500 cross beams or the Mod-Rack Stealth platform (R55061) are for; we stock both.
