Rocklander rear hoop for the Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 (2- and 4-door). 2in steel tube, three-piece design, 1/4in steel frame mounts, 3/16in hard top brackets, urethane NVH bushings against rattles. Rocklander — rear hoop, Jeep Wrangler JK 2- and 4-door
The rear hoop does two jobs at once. It closes the rack structure at the back and carries the load into the frame. And it protects the rear body corners, which take the most abuse off-road.
The Rocklander system is built by ARS (Adventure Rack Systems) — MetalCloak's sister brand, dedicated to cargo management for Jeeps. Made in the USA.
Construction
- 2in diameter steel tube, three-piece design with billet ends
- 1/4in steel frame mounts — CAD formed, laser cut, with an added gusset
- 3/16in steel hard top adapter brackets
- Two-piece high-durometer urethane (NVH) bushings — the manufacturer fits them specifically so the structure does not squeak or rattle on the trail
- Industrial grade hardware, black textured powder coat
- No drilling or body modification — factory frame locations
Why the adapter brackets
The kit includes hard top adapter brackets in 3/16in steel. They raise the hoop and spreader bars enough to clear the factory hard top and to let you remove the Freedom Top panels without taking the rack off. That is the difference you feel on the first sunny day.
⚠ The front hoop is required
The manufacturer notes the rear hoop kit requires the front hoop (R55015). On its own the rear hoop is not a rack.
⚠ A complete system also needs roof trusses: R55020 (4-door) or R55025 (2-door). We stock all of them; the complete kits are R55000 / R55010.
