Rocklander Boardwalk modular cargo deck with fence rails, for the Rocklander rack on the Jeep Wrangler JK and JL. Usable area 48.5in x 55in (about 123 x 140 cm) measured inside the rails. Each panel is independently secured by four UV-stabilised nylon Multi Mounts - more rigidity, less vibration, and any panel comes off on its own. Numerous tie-down points built into the deck and rails. Low profile, stainless hardware. Roof top tent compatible.

Rocklander Boardwalk — modular low-profile cargo rack system, Jeep Wrangler JK and JL

The Boardwalk is a cargo deck with fence rails built from separate panels. It differs from a plain platform in two ways: it is modular and it has built-in load containment.

The usable area is 48.5in × 55in (about 123 × 140 cm) — measured inside the fence rails, so it is real cargo space rather than an outside dimension.

The Rocklander system is built by ARS (Adventure Rack Systems) — MetalCloak's sister brand, dedicated to cargo management for Jeeps. Made in the USA.

What the modularity actually buys you

Each deck panel is independently secured with four Multi Mounts. The consequences are concrete:

  • More rigidity and less vibration than a single-piece deck
  • An individual panel can be removed or reconfigured without dismantling the rack — to make room for an awkward load, say
  • The Multi Mounts are two-piece UV-stabilised nylon — they do not go brittle in the sun and they damp metal-on-metal vibration

Tying loads down

Numerous tie-down points are built directly into the deck and rail system. That is rarer than it sounds — on many racks straps have to be threaded around the frame, which limits where you can pull against. Here you anchor where the load actually sits.

Low profile

The deck and rails are deliberately low: the load sits closer to the roof, so the vehicle's centre of gravity rises less. On a Wrangler, with its narrow track and tall suspension, that is not cosmetic — it changes how the Jeep behaves in a corner and on a side slope.

Roof top tent

The Boardwalk supports roof tent mounting: the side rails come off, or you use spacers, so the tent sits flat on the deck. The configuration changes without touching the structure.

FAQ

How does it differ from the Mod-Rack Stealth platform?

The Mod-Rack Stealth (R55061) is a flat aluminium floor flush between the trusses, with no rails. The Boardwalk is a panelled deck with rails and integrated tie-downs — more control over the load, and more modularity.

Can I remove one panel?

Yes — each panel is secured on its own.

Will a roof tent fit?

Yes — by removing the rails or using spacers.

Is this a complete rack?

No. It is a deck that mounts on 2in Rocklander tube.
