Frame-Built Bumper No. 2404 - 56" Light Caps with Bull Bar - Jeep JL Wrangler and JT Gladiator

Frame-Built is MetalCloak's modular front bumper system: one frame-mounted base plus interchangeable end caps and optional hoops. Version 2404 combines the Frame-Built base with 56" Light Caps and a Bull Bar.

The 56" Light Caps give the widest coverage of the front bodywork and room for auxiliary lights - at the cost of a slightly smaller approach angle than the Crawler.

The Frame-Built base

Every bumper in this family is built on the same base: 3/16" (4.8 mm) hot rolled steel plate, an integrated 1/8" steel winch plate and 1/8" frame support brackets finished in gold zinc. The winch sits low, so it does not block the radiator and pulls at a better angle during recovery.

End caps

The end caps are CNC formed from 1/8" steel, have built-in approach angles and bolt to the bumper with grade-8 hardware - they come off in minutes, for an event or after damage.

Bull Bar

A front hoop from 1 3/4" x .120" steel tubing on 3/16" brackets. It shields the winch and the front of the bumper while giving a convenient place for auxiliary lights and mounts.

Black Textured Powder Coat

The powder coated version carries MetalCloak's signature micro-textured semi-gloss finish. It resists stone chipping and local trail damage can be touched up without refinishing the whole part.

Manufacturer's important notes

• Factory lights will not fit. The lights from the factory steel bumper do not transfer to the MetalCloak bumper - plan for auxiliary lighting.
• Recovery points. The shackle mounts are engineered as recovery points only. The manufacturer states they are not designed for flat-towing.
• JT Mojave. On the Mojave Gladiator the shock reservoir bracket may need modification to stay in its original position.

Installation

Easy. About 1-2 hours. No cutting or welding - the bumper mounts to factory frame locations.

Add-ons

A base skid plate (6105), fairleads and light mounts can be added. The base alone, without end caps, is offered as 6160.

Before painting: the manufacturer requires a test fit on the vehicle before any custom paint or powder coating. Painted parts cannot be returned.

Homologation: this product carries no European type approval. Road legality after installation is decided by the vehicle inspection station; check before buying if in doubt.

MetalCloak backs its products with a lifetime warranty on structure and coating for the original owner. The warranty does not cover accident damage, incorrect installation or owner-performed modifications. As an authorised dealer we handle the whole claim process for you.
