Frame-Built Front Bumper Base - Jeep JL Wrangler and JT Gladiator

The base of the modular Frame-Built bumper system, without end caps. For owners who want to build their own configuration, or start with the base and winch plate and choose caps later.

The Frame-Built base

Every bumper in this family is built on the same base: 3/16" (4.8 mm) hot rolled steel plate, an integrated 1/8" steel winch plate and 1/8" frame support brackets finished in gold zinc. The winch sits low, so it does not block the radiator and pulls at a better angle during recovery.

Black Textured Powder Coat

The powder coated version carries MetalCloak's signature micro-textured semi-gloss finish. It resists stone chipping and local trail damage can be touched up without refinishing the whole part.

FMVSS 126 compliance

MetalCloak states its systems are certified to the US FMVSS 126 electronic stability control standard. That matters, because a heavy bumper with a winch changes the mass distribution over the front axle.

Manufacturer's important notes

• Recovery points: the shackle mounts are for vehicle recovery only, not flat-towing.
• JT Mojave: the shock reservoir bracket may need modification.

Installation

Easy. About 1-2 hours. No cutting or welding - the bumper mounts to factory frame locations.

Add-ons

End caps (46" Crawler, 49" Light, 56" Light), winch guard, Mid Stinger, bull bar and the 6105 skid plate are available separately. Ready configurations are offered as Frame-Built bumpers 2200-2504.

Before painting: the manufacturer requires a test fit on the vehicle before any custom paint or powder coating. Painted parts cannot be returned.

Homologation: this product carries no European type approval. Road legality after installation is decided by the vehicle inspection station; check before buying if in doubt.

Warranty and service

MetalCloak backs its products with a lifetime warranty on structure and coating for the original owner. The warranty does not cover accident damage, incorrect installation or owner-performed modifications. As an authorised dealer we handle the whole claim process for you.
