6Pak BLACK Rear Shocks 3.5", Pair - Jeep TJ/LJ Wrangler

6Pak is the top of the MetalCloak shock range. Each unit is hand built and dyno tested at the manufacturer's facility in Sacramento. The design goal was that the shock should stop being the limiting factor in the suspension.

Manufacturer's warning about shipping outside North America

This is the most important information on this page. The manufacturer states: "6Pak Shocks are not shipped outside of North America. If you are outside of the USA or Canada and order 6Pak shocks or any kit with 6Pak shocks, you are waiving the rights to the lifetime customer service and manufacturers warranty."

Ordering to Poland means you will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We can source the kit, but we want the decision to be an informed one.

Our recommendation: the RockSport RED shocks (1016 and 1017) are the alternative for the TJ, under normal warranty.

Mounts: installation requires cutting off the factory lower brackets and welding on the new ones. That is irreversible.

After installation: the manufacturer recommends a suspension specialist aligns the vehicle after any work on the suspension or steering.

The manufacturer rates it easy, about 1 hour.

A note on vehicle age

TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.
