Requirement: the manufacturer notes the Hi-Mount shackles are only for Frame-Built components designated as part of the "Hi" Mount System - the 231000 family.
Manufacturer's important notes
- Recovery points: the shackle mounts are for vehicle recovery only. The manufacturer states they are not designed for flat-towing.
- January 2024 design change: the shackle mounts now have a rounded edge, allowing the use of either standard metal d-rings or soft shackles.

Easy. The manufacturer quotes 10 minutes.
A note on vehicle age
TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.
