Every part is CAD-engineered, laser cut, welded and finished in-house, and the company backs its structure and coating with a lifetime warranty.

Hi-Mount Stinger for the Frame-Built Bumper - Jeep YJ/TJ/LJ

A tall front stinger hoop. Beyond shielding the winch, its real job is protecting against a forward roll on a steep climb - which is what it exists for in competition.

Black Textured Powder Coat

The powder coated version carries MetalCloak's signature micro-textured semi-gloss finish. It resists stone chipping and local trail damage can be touched up without refinishing the whole part.

Weld-on shackles: the manufacturer notes all TJ/LJ/YJ/CJ hoops come with weld-on shackles - they must be welded to the hoop.

Manufacturer's important notes

• Recovery points: the shackle mounts are for vehicle recovery only. The manufacturer states they are not designed for flat-towing.
• January 2024 design change: the shackle mounts now have a rounded edge, allowing the use of either standard metal d-rings or soft shackles.

Off Road Use Only. The manufacturer designates this product for off-highway use only.

Homologation: this product carries no European type approval. Road legality after installation is decided by the vehicle inspection station; check before buying if in doubt.

Installation

Easy. The manufacturer quotes 20-30 minutes. No written instructions are supplied.

A note on vehicle age

TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.
