Limitations - read before buying

12 reviews averaging 88%, and the complaints concern light fitment rather than the bracket itself:

"Does not work. The light bar bracket for the bumper does not work if you have a winch. I guess if you purchase very thin pods, circle lights or a thin light bar it would work. It will not work with a quality Baja Designs S8 or OnX 6+ both in 10". The bracket either sits too close to the winch or the top mounting plate needs to be significantly wider." - 1/5

"I wasn't able to use it. This does not work with the stock 6" lights. I wasn't told this when I ordered. I now have a paper weight." - 3/5

Our take: the manufacturer itself notes that when using the Dendro light bar with the MetalCloak winch guard, a light bar is recommended; larger lights will have interference from the top of the winch guard. In other words, this bracket is designed for a flat LED bar, not round lights or thick pods. Tell us your light model when ordering and we will check the dimensions before shipping.

Lighting: the lamps meet SAE/DOT (US market) standards and do not carry the E-mark required in the European Union. Keeping the original lighting may be necessary for road use in Poland.

Installation

Easy. The manufacturer quotes 10 minutes. No written instructions are supplied.

A note on vehicle age

TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.
