Aluminum Open Frame Tube Doors, Pair - Jeep TJ/LJ Wrangler

Lightweight aluminum tube doors for the TJ. Removable doors are one of the great things about this model, but driving with none at all is uncomfortable and in many countries simply not legal. Open Frame doors are the middle ground: they keep the cabin open while giving you an elbow rest, a mirror mount and a physical barrier.

Black Textured Powder Coat

The powder coated version carries MetalCloak's signature micro-textured semi-gloss finish. It resists stone chipping and local trail damage can be touched up without refinishing the whole part.

Mirrors are separate. Our price is for the version without mirrors. The mirror kit (4151, 7.0" x 12.0" x 17.0") can be added - in Europe it is practically essential, since removing the factory doors also removes the factory mirrors.

Legal note for Europe: driving with tube doors is not clearly regulated and depends in practice on the officer's judgement and on whether the vehicle has working mirrors. This product has no European type approval.

Before painting: the manufacturer requires a test fit on the vehicle before any custom paint or powder coating. Painted parts cannot be returned.

Homologation: this product carries no European type approval. Road legality after installation is decided by the vehicle inspection station; check before buying if in doubt.

Easy. About 1 hour. No body modification.

A note on vehicle age

TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.

MetalCloak backs its products with a lifetime warranty on structure and coating for the original owner. The warranty does not cover accident damage, incorrect installation or owner-performed modifications. As an authorised dealer we handle the whole claim process for you.
