Lo-Profile LED Replacement Taillights, Molded - Jeep TJ/LJ/YJ/CJ

An LED taillight set replacing the factory plastic lenses. The factory TJ lights stick out past the body and are among the first things destroyed while manoeuvring between trees. These are flat and far tougher.

The molded ASA version - UV and impact resistant, much cheaper than the aluminum one. 10 reviews averaging 86%; recurring notes concern uneven gaps against the body and very small side marker screws.

Two things to add

• A flasher relay. The manufacturer notes the kit requires a flasher to restore the correct blink rate: EP-26 for a 1997-2000 TJ, MetalCloak 2201 for a 2001-2006 TJ/LJ, EL-12 for a YJ.
• License plate relocation. The manufacturer states the factory plate holder must be relocated. We offer the dedicated bracket as 2181.

Lighting: the lamps meet SAE/DOT (US market) standards and do not carry the E-mark required in the European Union. Keeping the original lighting may be necessary for road use in Poland.

A note on vehicle age

TJs and LJs are now twenty to nearly thirty years old. Expect seized bolts and corroded frame threads when removing factory parts - soak the joints in penetrant beforehand and use anti-seize on reassembly. Several reviews of TJ parts are really about this rather than about the part.
