Rival 4.0 mm aluminium gearbox plate for the Toyota Hilux Vigo 2005-2015. Protects the cast gearbox cover, bolts to factory points, fitting kit included.
The middle of a Vigo's underbody is the part you only think about after a dull bang from under the floor. The gearbox hangs there with no factory protection at all, and its lower cover is a casting — it cracks rather than bends.
4.0 mm aluminium. Rival specifies 4.0 mm aluminium in silver. The plate spreads a point impact across its whole surface and feeds it into the mounts instead of the gearbox housing.
Installation. The fitting kit is included and the plate goes onto the factory mounting points under the chassis. No drilling, no welding.
Fitment. Toyota Hilux 2005-2011 and 2011-2015 with the 2.5 l diesel. Rival's technical description identifies the Hilux Vigo 4WD 2.5.
This one is for owners who take a Vigo across rocky trails or into forestry ruts — where you cannot see what is sticking out of the ground halfway along the truck.
