A rock through the sump halfway down a forest track costs more than a full set of skid plates — and on a Hilux Vigo the sump is barely covered from below by a thin factory panel. This Rival plate is a single pressing that shields the two most expensive assemblies up front: radiator and engine.

4.0 mm aluminium. Rival specifies 4.0 mm aluminium in silver. Spread across the full width of the chassis it gives a stiff, smooth surface, so the truck slides off an obstacle instead of resting on its hardware.

One piece instead of two. Radiator and engine protection are pressed into a single plate here, so there is no joint where the edge of one shield could catch on rock.

Installation. A Vigo-specific fitting kit is included. The plate uses the factory mounting points and installation requires no work on the chassis itself.
