A working Amarok rarely runs empty, and the more it carries the lower the rear sits and the closer the fuel tank gets to the ground. It is the most exposed item under the back of the truck and the one whose failure stops you immediately.

6.0 mm pressed aluminium. Rival specifies 6.0 mm pressed aluminium sheet in silver. This is the stronger of the two Amarok fuel tank plates — a 4.0 mm aluminium version is also catalogued, lighter and cheaper. On a truck that genuinely works off-road, two millimetres in this position is a difference you notice.

Installation. A fitting kit is supplied and the plate uses the factory mounting points. No drilling, no welding.
