This is the gearbox and transfer case plate for the facelift Amarok, in six millimetres of aluminium. That thickness exists because on rocky ground a plate does not have to survive one hit — it has to take them all season and still hold its shape.

6.0 mm aluminium. Rival specifies a pressed aluminium panel, 6.0 mm thick, silver finish. Pressing rather than flat sheet means stiffness without added weight, and aluminium does not corrode where road salt collects worst — on the underside of the truck.

Installation. Fitting kit supplied. Rival notes the plate is fitted together with part number 2333.5836.1.6 — the two were designed as one package.

Fitment. Volkswagen Amarok 2016-2020, 2.0 and 3.0 l diesel. Rival's technical description refers to the facelifted Amarok I of 2016-2019, so for a 2020 truck it is worth confirming the fit against the VIN — we can check that for you.
