A diesel RAM 1500 is a truck for long distances and hard work — which usually means construction sites, forest tracks and remote camps. Every one of those places has the rock that a pickup ends up sitting on, gearbox first.

This Rival kit is four aluminium plates covering the radiator, engine, gearbox and transfer case. Instead of patching protection together plate by plate, you get consistent coverage across the front and centre of the underbody.

• Material: 6.0 mm aluminium — the stiffness a full-size pickup needs, without the weight penalty of steel.
• Finish: silver.
• Hardware: fitting kit for every plate in the set.

Installation uses the factory mounting points under the vehicle — no drilling, no welding.

Fitment: Dodge RAM 1500 with the 3.0 l diesel engine, from 2018.
