Three-piece Rival skid plate set in 4.0 mm aluminium for the Ford Ranger, Ranger Raptor and VW Amarok from 2022: engine, gearbox and transfer case. Fitting kit included.
The current Ranger and the Amarok built on the same platform carry a lot of plastic underneath that looks like protection but is not. One solid hit and all that is left is a cracked cover — with the sump and gearbox casing right behind it.
This set replaces that illusion with three 4.0 mm aluminium plates: engine, gearbox and transfer case. Four millimetres is a sensible middle ground for a truck that lives on tarmac and gravel and goes off-road regularly, but without ambitions of crawling over boulders.
Installation. A fitting kit is supplied with the set.
Fitment. Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0 from 2022, plus Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Amarok with 2.0 D and 3.0 D engines from 2022.
