On a pickup the fuel tank hangs low and well behind the front axle — it is one of the first things to take a hit when you drop off a ledge. This Rival set protects it together with the whole driveline: engine, gearbox and transfer case.

Four plates in 4.0 mm aluminium. Pressed from 4.0 mm aluminium sheet with a silver finish. It is the choice for someone who wants the middle and rear of the underbody properly covered without adding tens of kilos of steel — on a loaded pickup with a canopy that difference shows up in handling and fuel use.

Factory mounting points. A fitting kit is supplied, so the plates bolt to the original chassis points with no modification to the vehicle.

Fitment. Ford Everest 2022- and Volkswagen Amarok 2022- with 2.0 l and 3.0 l diesel engines (2.0D Bi-turbo and 3.0D in the manufacturer's wording).
