The Grenadier was drawn as an off-road vehicle and carries more factory underbody protection than a typical SUV — but it is still thin sheet, sized for branches rather than rock ledges. Anyone who actually uses the low range and the lockers finds the first dents soon enough.

This set adds two 6.0 mm aluminium plates: engine and transfer case. Those are the two most exposed points on a trail — the sump up front and the transfer case sitting at the lowest part of the chassis.

Why 6.0 mm aluminium. A thick plate spreads impact energy across its surface and mounts instead of deforming towards the component behind it. Alloy also adds far less mass than steel of comparable resistance, which matters on a vehicle that is already heavy on its front springs.

Installation. A fitting kit is supplied.
