Three-plate 6.0 mm aluminium Rival 4x4 skid plate set for the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series (HZJ78 / HZJ79, 4.2 diesel, from 2007). Protects steering rods, gearbox with transfer case and fuel tank. Fitting kit included.
The 70-series Land Cruiser is built for hard work, but its steering rods sit exactly where they were designed to sit forty years ago — out in the open, just above the ground. Add a fuel tank slung under the chassis and you have two obvious targets. This Rival set deals with both.
Three plates cover the steering rods, the gearbox together with the transfer case, and the fuel tank. A bent steering rod in the field ends the trip — usually without the option of driving yourself out.
