A T6-based camper or a Multivan used for weekend trips spends a fair amount of time where the tarmac ends. The trouble is that the lowest-hanging parts of this van are also the expensive ones: oil pan, gearbox and fuel tank.
This Rival kit is three aluminium plates: under the engine block and gearbox, under the fuel tank and under the exhaust. The manufacturer states the kit covers all T6 versions, Euro 6 included.
- Material: 6.0 mm aluminium — when the plate meets the edge of a rock it spreads the load across its whole surface instead of transferring it straight into the component behind.
- Hardware: fitting kit included.
Installation uses the factory mounting points under the vehicle.
Fitment: Volkswagen Caravelle, Multivan and Transporter T6 2015-2019 with 2.0 petrol and 2.0 diesel engines. The manufacturer's own description gives the range as 2015-2020.
