The further you get from town, the faster it becomes obvious how much a Transit's factory lighting leaves in shadow. A night run down a forestry road, pulling into an unlit parking area by a trailhead, coming back after dark — what counts there is not just brightness, but how far the beam reaches and how wide it spreads right in front of the bonnet.

This kit answers both at once, and without an external bar: two OSRAM Lightbar MX250-CB lamps go straight into the original radiator grille of the facelifted Transit V363, commonly called the Mk9. No extra mounts, no structure above the bumper.

OSRAM Lightbar MX250-CB lamps

Each lamp (code LEDDL110-CB) is rated 45 W and 2,700 lm, so the pair delivers 90 W and 5,400 lm. The Combo beam does two jobs at once: it fills in the area immediately ahead of the vehicle and throws light out to 320 m at 1 lx. A colour temperature of 6000 K gives white, high-contrast light, and functionally the lamps work as an additional driving light and position light.

This is a larger unit than a typical grille lamp: 390 × 86 × 54 mm and 2,000 g each. Supply is 12/24 V (test voltage 13.5 V), the lead is open wire, and sealing is rated IP69K. The lamp manufacturer declares ECE R10, R112 and R7 approvals with approval mark E4.

ORAX Systems brackets

The mounts were designed and made for the facelifted V363 factory grille, 3D printed in black material resistant to UV and elevated temperature. They hold the lamps steady in the grille, and once fitted the front end reads as a single piece rather than as bolted-on hardware. Fitment covers model years from 2019 onwards.

Fitting — read this first

Installation requires cutting away selected parts of the original radiator grille. With lamps this size that is what makes a proper fit possible. Before any cutting, test-fit the brackets together with the lamps and mark what has to be removed — the grille cannot be put back to factory condition afterwards. A full set of mounting bolts is included.
