LED lamps - Round
Strands IZE LED OG Driving Light 9″ 12000 lm
A 9″ round driving light with old-school looks — fluted lens, black aluminium housing and an illuminated Strands badge. Xperience mode delivers 12,000 lm and a 506 m reach; E-mode runs within ECE R148/R149 approval. IP68/IP69K sealing, built-in white and amber position light, 2.5 m cable.
Strands IZE LED OG Driving Light 9″ — classic shape, modern output
The fluted lens and round black housing look like a spotlight from forty years ago. That is deliberate — behind that lens sits a driving light that puts out 12,000 lumens in Xperience mode and throws a beam 506 metres down the road.
Two operating modes are the point of this design. On public roads the lamp runs in E-mode, within ECE R148 and R149 approval. Off the road, one switch releases the full 172 W. On top of that comes a built-in position light — white or amber, your choice — and an illuminated Strands badge on the lens.

Key benefits
- 12,000 lm and 506 m of reach in Xperience mode — the distance is quoted at 1 lux, the level at which the eye still picks out an obstacle. Half a kilometre of road ahead buys reaction time at speeds where factory headlights run out.
- E-mode: 3,220 lm and 273 m — the same lamp, within ECE R148/R149 limits, so on public roads you do not have to cover or remove it.
- White and amber position light — 1 W each, built into the lens. Amber gives the distinctive truck look, white the modern one.
- 4500 K colour temperature — warmer than the usual 6000 K. It reflects back less from fog, rain and dust, which makes long night stages easier on the eyes.
- 12–36 V supply — the same lamp fits a 12 V 4x4 and a 24 V truck.
- IP68 and IP69K — rated against immersion and against high-pressure, high-temperature washing. The second matters if the vehicle meets a pressure washer after every muddy trip.
- Aluminium housing with cooling fins, polycarbonate lens — aluminium carries heat away from the LEDs, polycarbonate takes gravel strikes better than glass.
- Operating range −40°C to +60°C — from a Scandinavian winter to a summer traffic jam.
Two modes, two sets of figures
| Parameter | Xperience mode | E-mode |
| Luminous flux | 12,000 lm | 3,220 lm |
| Power | 172 W | 30 W |
| Beam distance (1 lux) | 506 m | 273 m |
The manufacturer's manual asks you to check the laws governing usage and proper mounting where you drive. Xperience mode goes beyond the figures covered by the approval — treat it as an off-road mode.

Wiring and mounting
The cable carries four wires with clearly assigned functions: red is the high-beam positive, black is chassis ground, white is the white position light positive and yellow the amber one. Both position colours are wired independently, so you decide which one lights up.
The manufacturer allows for two installation routes: a conventional one with a switch, and a CANbus solution. A two-pole switch is not included and has to be sourced separately. If you would rather not touch the wiring yourself, our workshop in Warsaw does this kind of installation daily.

Who it is for
For drivers who want the silhouette of a classic spotlight on a bull bar or roof bar without going back to halogens. The 12–36 V range covers 4x4s and pickups as well as trucks — and the approved mode means the lamp is not just show-and-shine hardware.

Why it is worth it
- Retro looks with no compromise on output — 12,000 lm and 506 m are figures no classic spotlight ever reached.
- One lamp for public roads and off them, with no covers to swap.
- Three-year manufacturer warranty and IP68/IP69K sealing — built for daily use, not for a display cabinet.

Frequently asked questions
Can this lamp be used on public roads?
Yes, in E-mode — the manufacturer states ECE R148 and R149 approval plus ECE R10.06, with reference number 20. Xperience mode goes beyond the approved figures; the manual advises checking the laws that apply where you drive.
What is the difference between Xperience and E-mode?
Flux, power and reach. Xperience: 12,000 lm, 172 W, 506 m at 1 lux. E-mode: 3,220 lm, 30 W, 273 m. Every other specification stays the same.
Does it work on a 24 V system?
Yes. The supply range is 12–36 V DC, so the same lamp runs in a car, a 4x4 and a truck.
What do I need to buy on top?
The bracket, screws, bolts, nuts, washers and silicone pads are included. A two-pole switch has to be sourced separately — the manufacturer does not supply one with the lamp.
How do I wire the position light?
The white wire is the white position light positive, the yellow one the amber. Connect the colour you want to use; red handles the high beam and black is ground.
What is the warranty?
Strands covers this lamp with a three-year warranty.
