ARB Night Hawk behind-grille light kit – Land Cruiser 300, 7" lights

Extra lights on the roof or the bumper always cost you something: noise, drag, or a look not everyone wants on a new Land Cruiser.

Night Hawk hides the lights behind the grille. From the outside the vehicle still looks standard; switched on, you get up to five times the output of the factory high beams.

Vehicle
Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series
Lights
2 × Night Hawk 7"
Output
up to 5× the factory high beam

Key features

  • Hidden behind the grille – the vehicle keeps its factory look, with no roof bar and no wind noise at road speed.
  • Up to five times the output of the standard factory high beams – the manufacturer's figure for this 7" version.
  • No drilling or cutting – the steel brackets use factory mounting points.
  • Brackets bolt directly to the body, isolating the lights from vibration carried through the grille and extending their life.
  • E-coated and powder-coated steel – corrosion protection in a place you will not be inspecting again after fitting.
  • OEM-style switch included – it fits the dash without a makeshift installation.
  • Designed and developed in Australia.

Fitment

Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series. The bracket kit is designed for this vehicle and uses its factory mounting points.

Important before ordering: wiring the lights to the high beam requires a CAN-bus adapter – the manufacturer specifies ARB parts CANDEC and 3525050. They are not part of this kit. Contact us and we will put the full set together.

The same Night Hawk system is also offered with a twin 28" light bar, rated at up to three times the factory high beam. Ask us if you would prefer the bar to the two round lights.

Installation notes

The brackets use factory mounting points, so no drilling or cutting of the body is needed. The job involves removing the grille, bolting the brackets to the body, routing the harness and fitting the switch in the cabin. Wiring to the high beam requires the CAN-bus adapter, which is not in the kit.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need anything besides this kit?

Yes, if the lights are to work with the high beam – a CAN-bus adapter is required, ARB parts CANDEC and 3525050. We can supply those with the kit.

Does the body have to be drilled?

No. The brackets use factory mounting points.

Will the lights be visible from outside?

They mount behind the grille, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance.

How does the 7" version differ from the 28" bar?

The manufacturer states up to five times the factory high beam for the 7" lights and up to three times for the 28" bar. They are two separate kits – this part number is the two-light version.

Doesn't mounting behind the grille make the lights run hot?

The brackets bolt directly to the body, which ARB explains as isolation from vibration. The manufacturer gives no separate temperature guidance, so we will not invent any.

Why buy it

  • Serious light output without a roof bar and without changing the vehicle's lines.
  • Factory mounting points – nothing has to be drilled in a new Land Cruiser.
  • A complete kit with harness and an OEM-style switch, not just the lights.
