Old Man Emu 3145 front coil springs for the 4th generation Suzuki Jimny (JB74, 2018 onwards) with the 1.5 l petrol engine. The load option covers a vehicle fitted with a steel bull bar, or a steel bar plus a winch – the typical, genuinely loaded overland configuration. Estimated suspension lift is about 40 mm.
The spring decides the ride height of the vehicle and how the suspension copes with load – the shock only controls how the spring moves. Old Man Emu designs its springs together with its shocks, in several load options per axle, and it is the choice of option rather than the brand alone that decides the result. A spring matched to the real, everyday weight of the vehicle holds the intended ride height, keeps the full suspension travel and does not run on the bump stops.
OME part number 3145 | Axle front | Lift about 40 mm |
The Old Man Emu suspension application chart confirms this part number for the Suzuki Jimny 4th generation (2018 onwards) with the 1.5 l petrol engine, in kits built around the Nitrocharger Plus shock line, with an estimated lift of about 40 mm. The part number appears in the chart for both the 3-door and the 5-door version.
The axle and the load option are given according to importer data. The manufacturer's chart describes the load options using different wording, so we confirm the choice for your configuration when you order – tell us what is fitted at the front and how much the vehicle carries permanently.
Springs are always replaced in pairs, on one axle at a time. Front struts require a spring compressor or a press – this is workshop work. After fitting, the vehicle needs a wheel alignment check, and on many models also a check of driveshaft angles and brake lines. A suspension lift has to be declared in the vehicle documents in accordance with local regulations.
Szekla4x4.pl is an online shop, a walk-in store and a workshop specialising in off-road and overlanding. If you would like us to fit this for you or match the rest of the setup, get in touch.
Are the springs sold as a pair?
The price refers to the importer's catalogue item. Before you order we confirm whether this part number is an axle set or a single spring – get in touch before placing the order.
Do I need new shock absorbers with these springs?
A spring with a different rate and a greater free length needs a shock with matching travel. A factory shock on a lifted vehicle works at full extension and does not last. We will match OME shocks to this spring.
How do I choose the load option?
What matters is what the vehicle carries permanently: a steel bar, a winch, a roof rack, a canopy, an auxiliary tank. Send us your configuration and we will point to the right part number.
Send us the model, year, engine and a list of the permanently fitted accessories – we will check the choice in the Old Man Emu chart and complete the whole suspension: springs, shocks, bushes and hardware.
